FLOODING

We seem to have forgotten the problems of flooding in Fremington village that caused so much trouble a year or so ago. If we are to avoid such problems in the future then the time to act is now. I suggest that a large drain needs to be constructed from the road next the Cemetery to the estuary (basically School Lane) This drain would take all the water from the road which at present causes the problem. Realistically I guess that there would be no money for this project but there are other things we could do to help...like having the drains cleaned out and restoring farm ditches...my guess is that we will do nothing until the next flood and then we will talk about it for a time, the experts will tell us that it is a "one in a thousand year flood" I imagine they were miffed when they gave the same advice to Noah and he ignored them!
